Some people might have experienced a weird behaviour when launching MX Bikes via Steam and playing with e.g. a Dualshock or Xbox Controller. This is due to the override function of Steam its Big Picture mode, as it simulates the detected controller as a mouse, which disables the ability to control the in-game movement.

To disable the override, follow these steps:

Globally disable Mouse (Big Picture-) behaviour for all your Steam games

1. Open Steam Big Picture (right click the tray icon)

2. Go to settings

3. Go to Controller Settings

4. Uncheck every Configuration Support

5. Done

Disable Big Picture mode per game

1. Open Steam Big Picture (right click the tray icon)

2. Go to your library

3. Open MX Bikes page

4. Click on Manage Game

5. Click on Controller Options

6. Set the “Steam Input Per-Game Setting” to Forced Off

7. Done
